Production Director

Language skills: very good English (B2+)

About the position:

Become part of a growing startup, specializing in sale and packaging of lyophilized (freeze dried) fruit. The company has the ambition to become one of the leaders in this segment in Western Europe.

Your task will be to completely take over your management management of the planned operation in Rač (hall approx. 800 m² with warehouse, packaging line, freeze-drying line and apple processing line).

Main content of work:

Phase 1 - Setup & Launch

• Taking ownership of the completion and equipment production hall in Rač
• Setting up production processes, workflow and hygiene standards
• Management of the IFS certification process (absolute priority due to the client's request - a large chain)
• Communication with the authorities, solving regulations and work safety

Phase 2 - Production management

• Daily production management – efficiency, quality, consistency
• Building and leading internal production team
• Cost optimization and production processes

Phase 3 – Handover & Scale-up

• Handover of established operations and transition to another (larger) production plant
• Until the future the potential to cover several production facilities in Slovakia and abroad

Candidate requirements:

• Experience in a manufacturing environment – working with machines, production lines, managing people
• Technical thinking and orientation in technologies
• Ability to work independently and take full responsibility for results
• Communication and leadership skills
• Knowledge of IFS, HACCP is an advantage or other food certification processes
