About the company
Join one of the TOP 2 global leaders in sports and betting affiliate marketing. Over the past year the company reached more than 100 million visitors and works with over 50 international clients. You'll be working on global, high-traffic products designed with an emphasis on performance, scalability and code quality.
This is a fairly large company that is currently building up its engineering hub in Bratislava — so you're arriving at a moment when the team and technical standards are still taking shape, and you have a real chance to influence them.
About the role
We're looking for an experienced fullstack engineer to join the Comparison team, which develops comparison functionality across the entire network of brands and websites. You won't just be "picking up tickets" — you'll be:
- deciding what's worth fixing, improving or modernising,
- designing architecture and technical solutions,
- setting engineering standards across the network,
- mentoring colleagues and reducing the team's dependence on principal engineers from other teams.
The role is a combination of hands-on coding and technical leadership. Part of the work is delivering new features on core comparison workstreams, part is the gradual modernisation of an older platform — with the freedom to find the balance between quick fixes and long-term technical improvements.
Your impact
- Your solutions will run on a platform with tens of millions of visitors a year
- The comparison functionality you build will be used across multiple brands in the network
- You'll directly influence what the technical architecture looks like after the legacy platform is modernised
- You'll help increase the stability, performance and sustainability of the systems the business runs on
What you'll do
- Developing and delivering new functionality on core comparison workstreams
- Modernising and maintaining an older platform — designing migration steps and carrying them out
- Improving the stability, performance and maintainability of systems
- Designing architecture and technical solutions across interconnected services
- Deciding on technical direction — what to refactor, what to rewrite, what to leave alone
- Working with CMS tooling (Contentful) and third-party integrations
- Improving CI/CD, observability and monitoring
- Code review, mentoring and setting engineering standards within the team
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams across the network of brands
Tech stack
Backend: PHP (Laravel / Symfony)
Frontend: JavaScript / TypeScript, Vue / Nuxt, React / Next.js
UI: HTML, CSS, SCSS, Tailwind
CMS: Contentful and related tooling
Infra & operations: CI/CD, observability and monitoring
Requirements
- Strong experience with both PHP and modern JavaScript / TypeScript frontend
- Experience with frameworks such as Laravel / Symfony and Vue / React (or Nuxt / Next.js)
- Ability to independently design a solution and defend a technical decision
- Experience working on more complex or interconnected systems
- Practical experience working with legacy code and improving it incrementally
- CI/CD, testing and a basic awareness of observability
- Appetite for technical leadership — mentoring, code review, setting standards
- Strong communication skills and English (international team)
We don't judge seniority purely by years worked, but by the quality of technical decisions, project complexity, ability to collaborate and actual hands-on level.
Nice to have
- Experience from iGaming / sports betting
- Comparison, membership, CRM, content or community platforms
- Experience with legacy system migrations
- Working with multiple interconnected services / distributed architecture
- Incident response, operational support or platform reliability
- Improving CI/CD and deployment processes
- Vendor and third-party integrations
- Contentful, Tailwind
What we offer
- Work on a global, high-traffic platform
- Real technical ownership at senior/staff level — not just implementing assignments
- The chance to influence architecture and engineering standards across the entire network
- A combination of hands-on coding and technical leadership
- The stable backing of a profitable company that invests in growing its Bratislava team
- An international environment and collaboration with teams across brands
- Hybrid setup — 2–3 days a week in the Bratislava office
Why this role is interesting
This isn't "another fullstack job". You'll get a combination that's hard to find:
- high traffic and real scale,
- legacy modernisation with genuine room for technical decision-making,
- influence over standards across multiple products and brands,
- and all of it in a team that's being built right now — so your fingerprint will be visible.
